Well, that's that then. Quite a nice ending in places -- mainly, the very-end endings. It's been a mixed season, though at least that's an improvement on some more recent ones. I've heard talk of season eight being a return to early-years form... but then they said that about this season, so we'll see.

One of the early episodes of Season 8 has a "Previously on 24" recap that lists a character simply as "DAVROS".
Seriously. Freeze-frame picture on screen, labelled as Davros.
I'm only 5 or 6 episodes in, but that's been the highlight of the season so far.
It's like the early episode if Stargate SG-1 in which they went to the planet Argos.
Yeah, but Argos crops up all the time in ancient gubbins. The Argonauts, for one. Also, I believe it's the name of Odysseus' horse.
Whereas Davros is just Davros.
And for some reason, when my brain said "dog", I typed "horse".
How bizarre.
Of course I meant dog.
